In today’s fast-paced digital world, it’s absolutely vital for businesses and individuals to stake their claim in the online realm. And guess what? One of the key ingredients to establishing a strong online presence is snagging yourself a domain name that screams your brand or website’s essence. Now, here’s where things get interesting: shared domains have become the talk of the town, and for good reason! These bad boys come with a truckload of benefits and won’t break the bank. So, buckle up as we dive headfirst into the wonderful world of shared domains and dish out some wicked advice on how to register ’em like a boss.

What are Shared Domains?

Shared domains, also called multi-use domains, are like the cool kids of the internet. They’re domain names that can be shared by a bunch of users at the same time. It’s like a party where everyone gets their own little corner to hang out. Unlike regular domains, where it’s one owner ruling the roost, shared domains let multiple users have their own piece of the pie. Let me break it down for you. Imagine the shared domain is “example.com.” Now, picture this: one user gets “user1.example.com,” while another gets “user2.example.com.” It’s like having your own little spot in the online neighborhood.

Benefits of Registering Shared Domains

Shared domains are absolutely amazing! They bring a whole bunch of incredible benefits that can truly elevate your online presence. So, let’s dive in and explore some of the fantastic advantages you’ll get to experience when you decide to register a shared domain:

  1. Increased Visibility and Branding: Shared domains offer the advantage of increased visibility as they allow businesses to create subdomains related to their products, services, or specific campaigns. This enhances brand recognition and makes it easier for users to find and remember your website.
  2. Cost-Effective Solution: Shared domains are an affordable option for individuals and small businesses looking to establish their online presence without incurring significant expenses. By sharing the cost of a domain, you can save money while still enjoying the benefits of having a unique online identity.
  3. Improved SEO Ranking: Registering a shared domain can positively impact your search engine optimization (SEO) efforts. Search engines recognize keywords present in the domain name and consider them when ranking websites. By incorporating relevant keywords in your subdomain, you can boost your website’s visibility and attract targeted traffic.

How to Register a Shared Domain

To register a shared domain, follow these step-by-step instructions:

  1. Choose a Reliable Domain Registrar: Select a reputable domain registrar that offers shared domain services. Research and compare different registrars to ensure they provide reliable technical support, security features, and competitive pricing.
  2. Search for Available Shared Domains: Use the registrar’s search function to check for available shared domain names. Ideally, choose a name that aligns with your brand or website’s purpose and is easy to remember.
  3. Select a Suitable Domain Name: Once you find an available shared domain, evaluate its relevance and suitability for your website. Consider keywords, branding, and your target audience’s preferences when making your selection.
  4. Complete the Registration Process: Follow the registrar’s registration process, providing the necessary information and paying the registration fee. Ensure you review the terms and conditions, renewal policies, and any additional services offered.

Factors to Consider when Registering Shared Domains

When registering a shared domain, keep the following factors in mind:

  • Domain Extension Options: Shared domains are available with a variety of domain extensions, such as .com, .net, .org, and more. Choose an extension that aligns with your website’s purpose and target audience.
  • Domain Privacy and Security: Check if the registrar provides privacy protection services to protect your personal information from being publicly accessible. Additionally, ensure the registrar offers robust security features to safeguard your website from potential threats.
  • Renewal and Transfer Policies: Familiarize yourself with the registrar’s renewal and transfer policies. Understand the renewal fees, renewal period, and the process involved in transferring your shared domain to another registrar if necessary.

Tips for Choosing an Effective Shared Domain Name

When selecting a shared domain name, consider the following tips:

  • Keep it Short and Memorable: Choose a domain name that is concise and easy to remember. Shorter names are more user-friendly and have a higher chance of being retained by visitors.
  • Use Keywords Relevant to Your Business: Incorporate relevant keywords in your subdomain to improve search engine visibility and attract your target audience.
  • Avoid Hyphens and Numbers: Hyphens and numbers can make your domain name harder to remember and potentially confuse users. Stick to alphabetic characters whenever possible.

Live Casinos and Shared Domains

Live casinos have gained significant popularity in recent years, offering an immersive gambling experience from the comfort of one’s home. Players can enjoy real-time interaction with professional dealers and other participants. When promoting live casinos, utilizing shared domains can be advantageous.

By registering a shared domain specifically for promoting live casinos, such as “livecasino.example.com,” operators can create subdomains for different games, events, or promotions. This allows for targeted marketing and improved customer engagement. To explore live casino options, visit Aviator Betting https://aviatorbetting.com/, a trusted platform providing a wide range of live casino games.

Conclusion

Registering shared domains presents an excellent opportunity for businesses and individuals to establish their online presence effectively. With increased visibility, cost savings, and improved SEO ranking, shared domains offer a compelling solution for online success. By considering the factors mentioned and following the registration process, you can secure a shared domain that aligns with your goals and resonates with your audience. Start your journey towards a strong online presence today by registering a shared domain.

Search engine indexing – what is it?

In simple terms, the indexing of the site is the introduction of its pages in the database of search engines. During this process, the system collects information about the content of the resource. Search engine robots (they are also called spiders) scan and process web pages, videos, images, etc. Once the analysis is complete, the pages are stored in a search index – that is, a database. And it is in this database that the system then searches for results that match user queries.

How is the indexing of the site by search engines

One query is thousands of addresses that potentially contain an answer. In fact, Google knows it before the user has entered a query into the search box. Indexing is an ongoing process because web crawlers regularly scan new and updated sites, adding the information they receive to the index (database). It turns out that when a user searches for something on the Internet, he is actually looking for an index.

Subpages of the site, that is, children, coming after the main, are indexed one by one. After entering a query, the robot searches the index and finds all the relevant pages. Thus, we get a really great number of results.

To give the user the most accurate answer, Google uses algorithms that select sites in the index based on several hundred different factors. They take into account not only the number and placement of keywords and relevant word combinations, but also the quality, the usability of the site, and how well it protects sensitive data. There are a lot of ranking factors and it is necessary to correspond to each of them. In this case, the process of determining the position of the site and the display of search results from Google takes about half a second.

How many www-addresses are in the index? Hundreds of billions. They take up over 100,000,000 gigabytes. Google assigns a site to an index according to the words it contains.

Loading, indexing and algorithm performance

To determine the site that best responds to user queries, search algorithms have to work. It is through them that the results in the index are selected and arranged in a certain order. Google is constantly working to improve its algorithms, so it can recognize keywords, context, and even typos that may appear as you type. However, the algorithms assess not only text, but also other aspects such as site credibility, credibility and informative content, link quality, and even user intent.

Indexing and scanning

What page indexing is, we’ve covered. However, you may also find the term “crawling” in the context of search engines. Crawling does not yet index pages, but only moves the robot between them.

Crawling is sending the bot to the site being analyzed, whereas indexing is downloading, processing, and collecting data to include it in the search engine’s index. Crawling does not mean that the address has been indexed and will appear in search results.

Placing a web address in the index is the next step after the scan. Not every page that is scanned is indexed, but every page that is indexed has been scanned before.

Crawling crawling budget

A crawling budget is the maximum amount of data a search engine can retrieve from a domain per robot visit. To get the most out of robot crawling, there are two aspects to consider:

  • Limiting the crawl speed;
  • Speeding up the indexing of the site.

Robots want to scan as many URLs as possible during one visit. Limiting the crawling speed is so that they make the rounds without overloading the server. If the crawler loads too many pages, the site will start to load more slowly, and this in turn will frustrate its visitor.

Previously, this restriction required specifying the crawl-delay directive in the robots.txt file. Today, it is considered obsolete, as search engines themselves control the speed. If the server load is too high, crawling stops automatically, so “heavy” pages must be optimized to reduce their weight, and less time will be spent on their processing by robots.

To speed up the indexing, the bot forcibly returned to the site. For this new or updated pages are sent to rescan through the webmaster panel. It is worth noting that popular and frequently updated sites are processed more often, as changes on them attract the attention of search engine robots. That is why the cessation of optimization work becomes the reason for lower positions in the search engine.

In brief, the site indexing budget – the number of URLs that the search engine can and wants to index. It is expressed in megabytes (MB).

Each domain is allocated a daily budget. Bots crawl the pages to the limit and stop indexing when it is used up. Then they come back to check for updates on already loaded addresses. If the site architecture is poorly designed, pages that are too deep may not be indexed at all. To avoid this, you need to focus not so much on the beautiful design as on the usability, taking into account further optimization. Important sub-pages should be among the first in the hierarchy of the site, the rest are ordered with decreasing priority.

When the search robot returns to the site, no one knows. In theory, the scanning is carried out every day, but nowhere specified when the bot stops it, and at what time resumes.

Cyclic indexing

Indexing is cyclic, so you need to constantly worry about the quality of the site and updates are made to occupy high positions in search results. After the first visit, the robots come back from time to time to check and index any changes. The more often they encounter new, valuable content, the more likely they are to come back again. And as a bottom line: the earlier it is indexed, the faster it will appear in search results.

Fast indexing of pages in Google: how long does it take?

Why is one address crawled faster than another?

As is usually the case with Google, when it comes to indexing, the company’s experts don’t explain anything directly. In 2018, Google’s John Mueller confirmed that URLs are retained according to different factors, and that the search engine does not crawl URLs at the same frequency all the time. Therefore, it is not surprising that some sites will be visited by robots every day, others every week, others every few months or even every six months.

It is worth emphasizing that a rare site scan does not mean that there is something wrong with it from a technical point of view. Processing period of several months is quite normal and natural. As an example, we should add that making significant changes to the site will lead to the fact that some pages are indexed quickly. The rest will have to wait for a while. Why does this happen? This is influenced by many factors: the linking, the structure of the page, the frequency of changes. For example, if the site has not been updated for a long time, the search engine may not send it to the bot. However, when updates occur, it may take some time, but eventually Google’s bot will visit the changed page.

How quickly can a search engine index a page?

In most cases it takes a few days. It can take up to 24 hours, although you can’t say that it happens all the time. Webmasters admit that this is not the case: the page may appear in the index on the same day, a week, or even a month.

How long does it take to index changes to pages?

There is no simple answer to this question. Google works at a certain pace, but it is known that in addition to the frequency of updates, it also takes into account other factors. For the search robot to visit the site more often, it needs to be updated regularly. After changes are made, such as deleting or adding pages, submit a request for re-blogging through your webmaster panel. You can also leave links to new content in social networks, blogs, thematic forums.

From indexing to ranking

Without indexing you can’t get high positions in search results, because it’s a necessary step to get your site indexed by Google. Indexing itself sometimes takes several months. Once a site is saved in Google’s cache, it takes time to evaluate the changes. At this point, the page is already at some level in the rankings. You make changes to improve the rankings, and the cycle begins again.

Design is the most direct way to convey the main concepts of website content in a simple and effective manner. Having a functional and convenient interface is the first step in attracting the players. Because whether they choose to stay and continue playing on your site mostly depends on the design solutions.

You have a lot to consider when planning a design concept for your site. From the details of layout to color schemes, fonts, and site navigation: everything should be suited to players’ preferences. And if you are a novice in the web design field, it can take a long time to “bake” precisely what you want.

While thinking of new design ideas, you can look through some already successful online casino sites to find some inspiration. For example, browse the site of playfortunefor.fun, navigate the website, and examine the color solutions and the interface. It will give you a bunch of ideas to implement in your design theme.

However, only researching and examining several good ready-made examples is not enough. You will need some key points and aspects to design a creative and engaging website. Let’s review them one by one.

#1 Use Modern Design Patterns

Your casino website needs to look good so that people visiting it will not run away from terrible colors and complicated navigation. Therefore, it’s essential to use sleek, simple, and streamlined patterns instead of suffocating them with highly bright colors or intricate details.

And though every design is a unique creation reflecting the designer’s ideas, following modern principles is essential too. For example, the current web design primarily combines the use of high-quality images, flat graphics, and easy-to-use interfaces.

In essence, an engaging website should be plausible to users’ eyes and not contain overused patterns.

#2 Implement “Wise” Color Shades

Colors and their perception has a strong psychological effect on people. And it’s proven that each color represents a specific emotion or association in a person’s mind. So, by using color schemes wisely, you turn it to your advantage. Let’s see what most used colors represent and how to use them in your design.

  • Blue – If you want a relaxing color on your website, then blue is the best option. You can see different sectors like insurance or banks using blue color to instill feelings of safety and trust. In website design, you can use blue on several pages to make the visitors trust you more.
  • Red – Red represents the aspects of energy, power, and passion. This color is very popular on casino websites, catching users’ attention and making them interested.
  • Black – Black is the symbol of prestige. So whether you want to highlight the VIP section or point out the special deals, black is the right choice.

#3 Make Your Casino Website Easy-to-Use

The visual esthetics of your site is indeed very important. However, a good design with poor navigation mechanisms becomes useless.

For example, if a user looks through low or no minimum deposit casino websites, which one will he choose? The one with a great design but somewhat hard to get around? Or the option that, along with good visuals, also provides a categorized and easy-to-use section for players?

You are right; he will concentrate on the option that is easy to navigate and has a friendly interface. So that all details concerning playing rules, bonuses, and deposit amounts are clearly shaped and presented.

You can also add a search bar on your website homepage if it has several pages and categories.

#4 Make Sure Your Site Is Responsive

In the current digital age, the use of various devices like smartphones, tablets, PCs, and laptops is enormous. So, in order to fit the requirements of each user, you need to customize your website for all major systems. If your site doesn’t support the user’s particular device or is not well optimized, problems are inevitable.

Responsive website design means that the content of your page automatically detects and adjusts to the parameters of the user device.

#5 24/7 Availability and Customer Support

Your online casino site should ensure all-day-around availability to players. It’s a crucial factor that can bring you a lot of visitors and players. Generally, online casinos are designed for people from almost every corner of the globe. It means there is a huge variety in time zones and locations. So in case of poor customer service or availability limits, it’s likely to cost you a considerable number of potential users.

Customer support is another aspect worth considering. While playing games, there can be complicated situations requiring quick solutions. If, in such a case, people can’t get through your support, it will leave them a huge disappointment.

To Sum Up

Having a good-looking, easy-to-use, and responsive design is the first step toward engaging users.

And giving out positive and energizing vibes is equally essential to keep those users and make them stay long-term.

A favicon is an icon placed in front of the page name in a browser tab. As a rule, the picture contains a logo, the first letter of the brand name or an image that is relevant to the subject of the resource.

A favicon is a picture, an icon of a web page. Such images were first used in the Internet Explorer browser. A recognizable picture helped you easily find the desired site among the many open tabs. Called such pictures FAVoritesICON – translated as “icon for favorites”, hence the simplified name – favicon.

Now the favicon is present not only in the tabs, but also in the bookmarks panel, in the history and bookmarks of the browser, in the desktop and mobile search engine results.

Regardless of where it is placed, the favicon attracts the attention of users, and helps to remember the site.

Why a favicon is needed

The main purpose of a favicon is to distinguish a brand or its site among browser tabs. In the absence of an icon, the tab displays a picture of a black and white planet, which makes it impossible to recognize the site. Imagine that your browser has 10-15-20 tabs open at the same time. With so many pages open, the header text is simply not visible, and the desired site can only be recognized by the image.

In addition, a favicon is an opportunity to make the brand more recognizable and memorable to the audience. The picture attracts attention, is remembered and associated with the brand. Later, when users see the same icon in search results, ads or bookmarks, they remember the brand.

For site owners, a favicon is useful because:

  • provides recognition of the site and, consequently, the brand;
  • allocates a resource among competitors;
  • indirectly confirms the owner’s attention to detail;
  • Complementing the style of site design.

Visitors favicon facilitates the search tab or bookmark.

Favicon design

The three main characteristics of a good favicon are clarity, simplicity and memorability. The image should be clear, memorable and easily recognizable.

To understand how good the finished icon is, we recommend answering the following questions:

Does your favicon stand out from your competitors? Look at the search engine results for your keywords and study the favicons. Pay attention to the shape, color, and content of your competitors’ pictures. You need to come up with something that will be drastically different.

Does the favicon evoke associations with a brand, site or type of business? A good icon when you first look at it helps you remember the category of the site or identify brand affiliation. As an experiment, you can show the image to outsiders and ask what related thoughts they have.

Is it clear what exactly is shown in the favicon? Keep in mind that in a small picture it will be difficult to distinguish small details. Try to avoid too bright colors. They will distract attention from the content of the site.

The format of the favicon

Initially, pictures for the favicon created only in the format .ico. This format was used for bookmarks Microsoft Internet Explorer. Icons placed in the root directory of the site under the name favicon.ico.

The format. ico is convenient because it can specify several sizes of icons with different bit sizes. The drawback is that browsers do not always choose the correct image size and as a result, favicon is displayed in low resolution.

Later .ico was replaced by .png and .svg. They are well displayed and weigh less. The majority of modern platforms and operating systems support .png, and the format .svg is used in Safari MacOS.

Sometimes favicons are made in .jpeg and .gif formats. This is acceptable, but undesirable, because not all browsers support these formats. Firefox and Opera allow you to use animated “gifs”, but I do not recommend their use – moving pictures will distract the visitor’s attention when viewing the site and irritate the user when displayed among browser tabs.

How to place it on the site

To add a favicon on a site without CMS, you need:

  • Insert between the tags … on the main page of the site a fragment of code with the address of the icon and the type of data being transmitted. You need to specify the path to the icon storage location – URL. Then the name of the file with the icon and the format to use – for example, favicon.png.
  • If you have edited the page outside of hosting, upload the file of the page you are editing to the hosting, replacing the existing file, and save it. It’s more convenient to edit the file directly on the hosting by connecting to it with a code editor via FTP. For example, through Notepad++.
  • In the root folder of the site (“public_html”; “html”; “site”; “www”) or in the folder with images upload the icon file. Use the file manager in the hosting control panel or a third-party FTP client.

Common errors

There are different reasons why a favicon does not appear. For example:

Page caching by the browser. To fix the problem, clear the browser cache and refresh the page. The key combination “CTRL + F5” will help to clear the cache while staying on the page.

Incorrect format or size of icon. Check the format compatibility and presence of all required attributes in your favicon code.

Incorrect code placement. Make sure that the icon code is placed in a block.

Too little time has passed. It might take from two weeks to two months for search engines to index a favicon.

Deny indexing of the icon in the robots.txt file. Allow indexing: correct Dissalow: favicon.ico to Allow: favicon.ico.

Inappropriate image. Make sure that the image does not contain any elements similar to illegal characters (offensive pictures, 18+ images).

Low quality or non-uniqueness of the favicon. Search engine sometimes ignores icons with low resolution or copied from other resources.

Search engine filters on the site. Indirect signs of filters: decline in attendance for no apparent reason, dropping out of the search for a large proportion of pages.
